It is with great pleasure that the Australian Acoustical Society welcomes acousticians from around the world to participate in the 20th International Congress on Acoustics in Sydney, Australia. This congress is held every three years and provides the opportunity for all acousticians to meet and discuss recent advances in their fields of interest.
This Congress will be held from 23 to 27 August 2010 at the Sydney Convention Centre. This top class convention centre is centrally located right on the harbour of Sydney
ICA 2010 is organised for the International Commission for Acoustics and will feature a high standard technical program including plenary, distinguished, contributed and poster papers. There will also be an extensive technical exposition highlighting latest advances in products for all fields of acoustics.
Papers will cover all aspects of acoustics including:
Bioacoustics Computational Acoustics
Communication Acoustics, Environmental Acoustics
including Speech Musical Acoustics
Electro-acoustics and Audio Engineering Non-linear Acoustics
Noise: Sources and control Physical Acoustics
Physiological and Psychological Acoustics Room and Building Acoustics
Structural Acoustics and Vibration Ultrasonics
Young Scientist Conference Attendance Grants sponsored by the International Commission for Acoustics and Acoustical Society of America can be applied for by following the links from the ICA home page.
Candidates must be under 35 years and may be either undergraduate or postgraduate students, postdoctoral or young acousticians and special attention will be given to the applicants from developing countries.
Associated symposia will be held following the main congress at four locations in the region. Each of these meetings has a specific focus: Room Acoustics, Musical Acoustics, and Sustainability in Acoustics. For more details, click here.
